Claude Frencham Award

For Outstanding Contribution to the College

Mr Claude Frencham was a foundation member of the College and contributed significantly to its early growth. He died on 24 August 1967 and following a State Council decision, a Claude Frencham Memorial oration was delivered by the State President, Mr A J Cunningham at the Annual General Meeting of the Branch held on 31 May 1968. Subsequently, supported by a donation from Mr Frencham's widow, the Claude Frencham Memorial Fund was established.

The Award is made to member below the level of Fellow who has demonstrated by their ability, enthusiasm and achievement that they have contributed significantly towards the aims of the State Branch. The Award would is generally in the nature of a book or books suitably inscribed.

The first award was made at the Annual General Meeting in June 1977.
