5 September Victoria HMIP Graduation 2018 September 5, 2018 By Tais Lildaree General 0 On Friday 23 March 2018, Simon Hogan and Angeline Kuek of the Victorian Health Management Intern Program were presented with their Graduation Certificates. We would like to congratulate our all graduates and wish them all the best for their future endeavours. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in the Intern program – organisations who have placed an intern, preceptors and supervisors, and mentors who support them. Simon Hogan Simon commenced the Management Intern program in 2016. He completed a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) at the University of Melbourne and had previously worked in the field of Mental Health. Prior to working in health, Simon spent six years with the Geelong Cats, playing with the AFL side during the premiership years of 2009 and 2011. He joined the program to get experience in a variety of health settings so that he could make informed decisions on the direction of his career. During the program Simon's work placements included Monash Health, East Grampians Health Service, DHHS – Metropolitan Performance and Alfred Health. Simon currently works at Alfred Health. Angeline Kuek Angeline commenced the Management Intern program in 2016. Angeline completed a Master of Public Health at the University of Adelaide and she also holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) from the University of Melbourne. She has previously worked in Singapore and in South Australia as a research assistant in the field of mental health and eating disorders. Angeline joined the Program as she wanted to gain experience in project management and increase her knowledge about the operational aspects of health services. During the program her placements included Barwon Health with the Health Innovation and Projects Office, and Health Informatics, KPMG, and the Prevention, Population Health and Place Branch at DHHS. Angie is currently a senior consultant with the Health, Ageing and Human Services team at KPMG.
