Ren Cazar won the best poster award at the National Congress in October for his poster on the state-wide program evaluation of home-based immunotherapy in Victoria.
Ren was also awarded the prestigious New England Award (NEA) which is presented to students who have embraced the full UNE experience. Recipients of the award are exemplar citizens who demonstrate service to both their community and the University. The NEA provides evidence of a student's commitment to developing employable skills and qualities, as well as demonstrating their contribution to their local community. The award is presented at UNE Graduation by the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of the University. Three (3) recipients received the award from the Faculty of Health and Medicine.
His nomination for the award was based on his contribution to the Academic Board of the University. He sat of three (3) governance committees as elected Post Graduate Representative including Academic Board, Academic Board Standing Committee and Student Representative Council. Further, his contribution to the state-wide program evaluation of home-based immunotherapy in Victoria was also highlighted.
