NSW Branch Council nominations

Nominations for the NSW Branch Council are now open.

Every year, current ACHSM members based in NSW are invited to consider nominating for a position on the Branch Council. As ACHSM is the peak professional body for health managers in Australasia, Branch Councillors can directly contribute to supporting the organisation’s mission to develop better leadership for health communities by:

  • providing the best professional development and networking opportunities for health managers
  • advocating for and promote the health management profession
  • recognising the achievements of health service managers
  • promoting innovation and excellence.

There are three vacancies to be filled, and Councillors are elected for a period of three years. Background information and nomination forms are attached, and all nomination enquiries should be directed to Kate Leonard, NSW Executive Officer by calling (02) 8753 5131 or emailing kate.leonard@achsm.org.au.

All nominations must be received by:

COB, Wednesday 24 April 2019

ACHSM welcomes nominations from all interested members. This year, the NSW Branch is particularly interested in receiving nominations from health professionals working in:

  • aged care
  • the private sector
  • non-government organisations
  • rural health.

Prior to formally submitting a nomination, potential nominees are invited to explore the role of Branch Councillor in more detail via direct engagement with current Council members and/or attending an upcoming Branch Council meeting (in person or via video conference). If you wish to attend a Branch Council meeting or speak with a current Council member about the role in more detail, please contact Kate Leonard.
